Screenings and Festivals: Premiered in Paris (Cinémathèque Française) and Stuttgart (Cinema Metropol) in October 2009. Screened on ARTE TV France/Germany, and in the Max Ophüls Film Preis in February 2010. Screened at the French Embassy in Berlin (February). Selected for the Sehsüchte Film Festival (April). 3rd place of the Public Selection at the Highlights Festival 2010, Filmakademie Baden-Württemburg (June). Screened at SOS International Festival of Performing Arts & Media Ludwigsburg (July) and at Birmingham’s Hello Digital Week (Oct.).
Synopsis: The Mafia “Padrino” Don Massimo (Andreas Wellano), is shot by his own brother Enzo (Salvatore Pascale). After his funeral, Massimo appears as a ghost to his son Luca (Tom Lass) and orders him to revenge his murder. Luca refuses: he had never wanted to be like his father, and therefore had always tried to keep away from “family affairs”. But a secret revealed by Massimo’s widow, Silvana (Stefanie Schmid) results in an unexpected turn of events. A funny shortfilm dealing with indecision, revenge, ambition, fate and Mafia!
