List of international documentary festivals

I have compiled a list of international documentary film festivals from a variety of sources (EDN, BFI…), and thought you might find it useful. You can download it here:

Thank you all for your comments. I am thinking about adding a Google Calendar with deadlines/festivals/pitching sessions, etc., but this will take more time. By the way, I’ve received today the Film Festivals Directory E-Bulletin from Britfilms.com (a monthly bulletin with festivals’ deadlines -feature, short, doc-). If you would like to subscribe/browse for specific festivals, go to http://www.britfilms.com/festivals/

    Hola Anna,

Gracias por tu comentario. Veo por tu web que te dedicas al cine, pero no puedo acceder a los títulos que has producido, mission statement ni contacto. ¿Me podrás avisar cuando tu página esté activa, por favor, o informarme un poco de lo que haces? Si no te importa, claro! Gracias!

    Un saludo cinéfilo!

I really hope it is useful! Hard as it is to get documentaries funded, at least have the opportunity to get them seen by people and aim for some recognition! Best wishes to you too!

Anshu Srivastava suggests another festival. I paste the info here, and will add it to the list:

    Call for ROSCAR Entries
THE CALL FOR ROSCAR ENTRIES IS NOW OPEN for all wildlife productions. Building on the success of the 2009 ROSCAR Awards, four new exciting categories have been added.
The announcement of the winners will take place at the ROSCAR Awards ceremony during the Festival on 30 March. This event is a Festival highlight and pays tribute to filmmakers for their outstanding contribution to advancing an understanding of our natural world, and will take place at the enchanting Moyo restaurant at Spier, which promises sophisticated African cuisine and entertainment.
